Empowering Recovery Through Community Support

Lived Experience.support is a LERO Recovery Organisation.
We as a group that uses the skills and strengths of our members to help each other out. We aim to make decisions together and focus on human rights, like the right to live a healthy life.

The main principles of Lived Experience Support are:

  • Listening to what the community needs and using the talents already there.

  • Making sure everyone works together to plan activities.

  • Supporting human rights and making sure everyone is treated fairly.

  • We value community, inclusivity, honesty, and focusing on people's strengths.
    Our Aims:

  • Create a recovery plan with the help of important leaders in addiction recovery in the UK.

  • Build trust and bring people together in recovery groups.

  • Make sure everyone's voice is heard to influence the national recovery agenda.

  • Connect with other LEROs across the UK.

LEROs encourage active citizenship and use real-life experiences to guide their actions, promoting a system of care based on recovery principles.

The setting suggests an urban environment with buildings lining the street.
